Officially Made it to Florida

Yeah, so I went ahead and packed all my things and drove down to Florida at 12:30 A.M and got in at 7:11, thinking nothing of it. The drive was pretty chill and straightforward. Got stuck in like one traffic jam for about 15-20 minutes, but other than that it was pretty chill. I couldn't really sleep prior to the trip because of my ADHD and just simply wanting to get the drive / move over with so I can go ahead and start my new life and whatnot. I managed to make it all the way down with only one pit stop along the way in SC, and after that I just kept it going. I didn't bother telling my mother beforehand because I knew she would have just told me to wait, and honestly, I wasn't trying to hear all that, so I just left without telling her. I managed to make it down without an accident or seeing an accident, so that was chill. My drive was originally supposed to be 9 hours, but with me just keeping the cruise at around 85, I was able to make it a 7hr drive. Which is pretty good, considering when I got past the state line, I was ready to fall asleep at the wheel even though I still had a good 90 minutes left til I actually got to where I needed to be, but I made it through, thank god.

Once I arrived at my location, I basically just slept for like the next 3 days, and now I'm just trying to catch up on the lack of sleep I was getting back in North Carolina, hoping my sickness and headaches would go away and I can function on a normal sleep schedule now that I'm fully settled and unpacked. Yeah like I said I'm such a minimalist that 90% of my stuff was able to fit in my car and the rest of my stuff like furnite and that sort of thing I just sold and whatever didn't sell I just threw away because once I move out again in the next few months after I figure out where I wanna be and what job I proceed with I'll go and get some of replacement funiture that I ended up selling away. So it's really no big deal, and besides, I won't be back out on my own any time soon because I'm thinking of probably moving elsewhere instead of where I'm at right now. I'm just looking for a job to hold me over until I find some place that suits me and my needs. So I'm just waiting it out right now. I know it's going to take some time, but at least I no longer feel like my time is running out, and I'm not feeling forced to settle for something that's no good for me.

I wanna try my best to take things easy and meet new people and maybe make long-lasting connections with the people down here, and maybe they'll help me get to where I need to go. But for right now I'm jsut networking and trying to figure out what and where everything is right now. I've met a few people already who have been extremely helpful with the places that are hiring and how to get in touch with them, so I'm grateful for that. I'm just not ready to go back into the workforce right now after working strictly for 3 years straight. I'm sort of just taking this time to get back into taking photos, more or less practicing how to use my camera again and trying to understand what my settings do again. Yes, I'm that lost when it comes to taking photos lol don't judge me!! I haven't picked up my camera since I was last down here, which was 9 months ago, back in January. I lost interest in photography, but I'm trying to learn my way again, hoping I can go back to making that a passion of mine again. I just got so burnt out taking the same photos of the same scenery when I was back in North Carolina that taking photos just felt like a waste of time for me. But now that I'm in Florida, I'm hoping that will all change eventually, and I've been thinking of trying to vlog, but I'm still not sure if that's something I wanna pursue due to my introverted ways and trying to edit footage for hours.

But for right now, I just wanna focus on the simple things in life and try to figure out how to get from point A to point B in this big ass city that's spread out like a damn maze. There's so much going on here, and people are constantly asking if I'm going somewhere for an event that's being held, and I'm kind of just unsure about it all. It's all so overwhelming that I kind of just end up taking a nap and seeing how I feel about it all afterwards when I wake up. I'm not saying the events are boring; I'm just saying that sometimes there are multiple things happening in a single day. It's hard to find the time, but I guess that's the Floridian lifestyle. I kind of miss the simple life, but I'll eventually get used to the new stuff once I figure out how to get on a normal sleep schedule because that shit hasn't been normal since the start of summer, and it's lowkey annoying!! I feel like I'm more tired than ever before, even though I'm getting a good amount of sleep I feel like. Damn near 10-11hrs of sleep on the daily, plus a  2-4 hr nap during the day, so I don't know what's going on with my body, but it needs to relax a bit. But yeah, other than everything is going pretty well.
